I bought this product way back in February, 2022, from Amazon India, when I was a total noob in skin care and didn't know about this sub. I used this a handful of times ever since, but it always left me with dry, flaky skin and i thought it's because of my combination skin. Fast forward to a week ago, when I was searching for Bentonite clay based hair masks and discovered few posts on people receiving counterfeit Aztec Secret products. So, I dug a little deeper and checked out the aztecsecret.in website that was mentioned on the tub, and discovered how bloody absurd this scam is and how foolishly I gave into this. The website mentions bentonite clay for dogs and cats (REALLY?!) and stuff like Aztec Secret night Cream and Charcoal scrub. That's when I realised that this is 100% a counterfeit product
Please be careful while buying Aztect's bentonite clay. Just please 😭
We’ve all been on a look for this precious clay for a while now. Popular found on Nykaa, Amazon and Flipkart but we always fear counterfeit product. As a matter of fact Nykaa does sell the Aztec Secret clay mask from a counterfeit company. The details of the same have been seen in post before on this sub.
I’ve personally been wanting to try this 100% calcium bentonite clay mask since like forever. Infact I placed an order on Nykaa too prior to knowing the AMAZE SECRETS conspiracy, but luckily cancelled my order as a post regarding counterfeit product was posted the same day.

ANYWAY, thanks to this Sub, I finally found iBhejo where the original product was available. iBhejo is a website which imports products directly from USA and delivers them to India.
There happens to be a sale on this particular product on iBhejo and I purchased it for Rs 699. I KNOWW, it is much much less than the counterfeit product sold on Nykaa.

First Impression of Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
• Tub looked a lil old, I assume because I got it on sale and probably they’re clearing the stock. Anyway, it’s the least concern to me as the mask consists of 100% Calcium Bentonite Clay and it does really expire.
• I did a patch test on a small part of my face and waited for few hours and once I was sure there are no adverse reactions what so ever, I went ahead and applied it on my entire face.
• I used a ratio of 5:4:1 :: Clay :water : apple cider vinegar. I watched this on Doctorly YouTube. My paste was a bit liquidy but anyway I applied and waited for 5-7 mins.
• I felt a tingling sensation as the mask started tightening and felt an urge to remove it asap. I was a bit scared but luckily my face looked fine beneath the mask.
• As a one time user, the results weren’t something extraordinary but basic and similar to what you would expect from a decent clay mask
• Helped me with oil control and a comparatively fresh looking skin. Being an oily skin girl, this mask is a boon. Henceforth, I’ll be using it once in two weeks.
A way to distinguish original from counterfeit (correct me if I’m wrong): The fake product might have website on back like https://aztecsecret.in/ and original one should have https://aztec-secret.com/ Hope y’all find this helpful :)
I've been doing a lot of research on clay masks because I want to try one. I have sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin - pretty much the worst combination of attributes. I have cystic acne, whiteheads, and blackheads. I can quite literally be oily and dry in the exact same spots. I'm extremely fed up with my skin and my dermatologist. I have many other questions, but I'm limiting it to this product right now.
